Cooling is achieved by means of an Air Cooler. In this process, the process gas is cooled using ambient air. Fins are applied to the tubes to increase the surface area.
A Dutch manufacturer of compressor systems supplies a number of compressors for gas terminals in Spain. The gas is compressed in several stages, and cooling takes place after each stage. A bundle has been designed for all 3 stages. Three bundles are combined per unit. As a result, the total cooling of the entire process is realized in a single unit. The software available at Robox offers the capability to simulate such a combined unit.
