Robust Design with a Wide Range of Options

Ensuring Maximum Applicability and Process Flexibility

Unique Design
ROBOX Tubular Flow Reactors are available with a wide range of options, providing maximum flexibility for your process. Pre-heating, post-heating, cooling, or post-cooling can be integrated directly into the reactor, often eliminating the need for additional heat exchangers or cooling jackets.

The unique header design allows the residence time to be easily adjusted to suit your process requirements. The headers can also be equipped with injector nozzles for the controlled addition of ingredients at specific process locations, for example for quenching applications. In addition, the reactors are ideally suited for the use of various types of catalysts.

Optimal Mixing Through Increased Turbulence
The tubular design, optionally fitted with static mixers, generates sufficient turbulence to ensure excellent product mixing. As a result, expensive and complex mechanical agitators are no longer required. This leads to a simpler reactor design, reduced maintenance, and significantly lower energy consumption, particularly in continuous processing applications.

No Moving Parts & Minimal Energy Consumption
Because the ROBOX Tubular Flow Reactor contains no moving parts, it is virtually maintenance-free. This makes it particularly suitable for processing sticky and highly viscous media in the chemical, food, and pharmaceutical industries. Reduced wear and minimal maintenance maximise plant availability while minimising production downtime.

Plug Flow Reactors (PFR)

Plug flow reactors ensure a controlled flow where the medium moves through the reactor as a continuous ‘plug’. This results in predictable reaction conditions, high conversion, and consistent product quality — ideal for Plug Flow Reactors (PFRs) provide a controlled flow in which the process medium moves through the reactor as a continuous “plug.” This results in predictable reaction conditions, high conversion efficiency, and consistent product quality, making PFRs ideal for processes where precise process control is essential. where precise control is essential.

Specials

Custom-engineered solutions, fully tailored to your application, process conditions, and installation requirements. Every ROBOX reactor is designed and manufactured to meet your specific process parameters and technical specifications.

ROBOX reactors are available with FDA-compliant components, making them suitable for the stringent quality requirements of the food and pharmaceutical industries. They can also be manufactured from a wide range of materials to ensure optimum performance within your process and, where required, excellent corrosion resistance for a long service life.

When required by the process, the reactor can be supplied with an integrated static mixer. If a specific static mixer is specified and supplied by the customer, ROBOX will install it as part of the reactor assembly.

Series

Standardised reactor designs with short lead times, ideally suited for common process applications and serial production environments. They are particularly suitable for continuous processing, where multiple reactors operate in parallel.

Using multiple identical reactors ensures stable and reliable operation. In the event of maintenance, an individual reactor can be replaced quickly and easily with an identical unit, minimising downtime. Operating reactors in parallel maximises process availability, simplifies maintenance, and helps ensure uninterrupted production with minimal operational disruption.

Application

Large-scale pharmaceutical production, utilising multiple reactors operating in parallel within the same process or plant section.

Large-scale chemical production, utilising multiple reactors operating in parallel within the same process or plant section.
