For the ONE Q16 project, our client required not only an S&T Molsieve economizer but also an air-cooled regeneration gas cooler.
In this process, the process gas is cooled using ambient air. Due to the high temperature difference between the inlet and outlet, a split header is necessary to prevent stresses caused by temperature variations within the header. Furthermore, the cooler must be constructed in Duplex due to the process medium. Aluminum fins are applied to the tubes to increase the surface area.
This concerns an Air Cooler. A multi-pass high fin bundle with plug type split headers, type PHFP 4 / 5590 x 1600, executed in Duplex according to PED cat.IV/Mod.G, ASME VIII Div.1, and API 661 (ISO13706).
