Our customer designs and delivers this unit and this requires a Glycol (TEG) air cooler. This ensures the necessary cooling of the glycol.
Cooling is done by means of an Air Cooler. The product is cooled using outside air. To increase the surface, fins have been applied to the tubes. Wire mesh inserts are used to improve the heat transfer in the tubes.
Due to the viscous nature of the product and the laminar flow, the heat transfer is not very high. The use of the inserts significantly improves this, making a smaller cooler possible. The bonnet type headers make the tubes accessible for cleaning or inspection.
Because hydrate formation can occur at low temperatures, the air cooler was equipped with winterization by means of louvres and electric heaters. This allows the temperature of the product to remain at the desired minimum temperature during standstill (s) in the winter months without the formation of hydrate.
By clever designing and applying the inserts, the size of the air cooler could be limited.
It is an Air Cooler. A multi-pass high finned (aluminum fins) bundle with removable bonnet type headers, type BHFB 4/4900 x 2560 Entirely in C-steel according to PED cat.I / Mod.A, AD2000 and API 661 (ISO13706)
