Mobile depletion unit (MWHC). This unit enables our customer to also extract the last remaining gas from a well. The unit is mobile so that multiple wells can be operated with the same unit.
The gas pre-cooler is a gas cooler in which the gas is pre-cooled with refrigerant to compensate for the temperature rise in the compressor. The gas outlet cooler cools the gas at the outlet to the end temperature specified. The lube oil cooler is a liquid cooler that keeps the compressor’s lubricating oil at the desired temperature.
This is a “Mobile depletion unit” (MWHC). Due to the many different scenarios and changing gas compositions, there were numerous cases. Due to the interaction between the heat exchangers and the behavior of the compressor in different scenarios, a “worst case” had to be identified per device. This was decisive for the final design. Due to good cooperation and mutual understanding of each other’s processes, ROBOX was able to carry out this with the engineering company to its full satisfaction. The simulations of the process and the thermal calculations with the software of HTRI were the key to this. The implementation of the NAM specifications is also no restriction for ROBOX, and that is how the heat exchangers were ultimately designed and built. Satisfaction with this implementation has also led to a follow-up assignment.

The gas coolers are horizontal, one-pass shell, Shell & Tube heat exchangers. Fixed tubesheets without bonnets, directly incorporated into the pipework. _EM 457/3200 and _EM 273/1500. Gas side in Duplex and cooling water side in C-steel. The oil cooler is a horizontal one-pass shell with removable U-bundle and removable bonnet type BEU 356/3800. Made from Duplex, stainless steel and carbon steel. According to PED 2014/68 / EU (Cat. II, III and IV) and EN 13445.
